Next Steps

Baptism is a public display of a believer’s commitment to Christ. Baptism does not make a person a Christian but is rather symbolic of death to sin and resurrection to a new life in Christ. Baptism is by water immersion and is done after a person decides to follow Jesus Christ.

Who can be baptized?

Anyone who follows Jesus.

Do we baptize infants?

No, we don’t. However, we are more than happy to help you as a Christ-follower dedicate your baby to the Lord and prepare them for the day when Jesus becomes their forever-friend.

It is a joyful thing to see our children respond to Jesus, and when a child makes the decision to be baptized, we think it is a really big deal.

Please contact the church office or sign up on the Connect Card and we’ll be in contact with you about the next Baptism Class.

Grow in your faith.

Connect 101 Membership Class

The Connect Class is the best way to meet church leaders and learn what “makes us tick” at West End. This three-hour class is offered quarterly usually on Sundays from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.

You’ll learn about our history, what’s important to us, and why we do what we do. We’ll also have dinner together and enjoy getting to know one another. Free child care is provided. Once you’ve completed the class we’ll give you the opportunity to join the church if you’d like. It’s a no-pressure, informative time that you’ll be glad you went to!

Grow 201 Discipleship Class

The Grow Class gives you an awesome snapshot of how to grow in your faith in practical ways. This three-hour class is offered bi-annually and usually on a Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Dinner is usually served, and childcare is available. Participants are also given the opportunity to become part of a One on One Discipleship track which prepares you to disciple others once you’ve gone through the process.

SHAPE  301

Have you ever wondered what on earth am I here for? Because each of us is uniquely designed, or shaped, by God to do certain things – we want to help you figure that out. SHAPE 301 looks at five elements: your Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences, and then helps you determine where to serve. Wise stewardship of your life begins by understanding your shape.
